Realm of Prosthodontist
The realm of the prosthodontist ranges from single crowns (caps) or veneers to complex full mouth reconstructions crowning all teeth and often using implants to support crowns and bridges. The prosthodontist is the quarterback in complex multi-specialty dental reconstructions resulting from trauma, congenital defects, generalized severe tooth wear, or tooth loss secondary to periodontal disease or caries (cavities). If your mouth needs crowns or veneers or implants make sure to see a prosthodontist for a consult first.
